Description:

Renovation of an 1889 brick farmhouse, and conversion into counseling center for Hospice & Palliative Care of Western Colorado. Codes required a conversion from Residential to Commercial Occupancy and measures to ensure accessibility. Building consists of meeting/counseling rooms, crafts rooms, and a coffee shop.

 

Type Of Construction:

Existing house with double-wythe brick exterior walls, wood framed interior walls and roof, and sandstone foundations.  Concrete footings were added for additional shoring of structure.  Unstable porches were demolished and rebuilt in wood.  Fiberglass clad wood windows; wood interior doors and fiberglass exterior doors.  Composite shingle roof.
