Blythe Group served as the Owner Representative/Program Manager and Architect for RPS’s $15-million bond program approved by the voters in fall 2008.  Our services began with physical assessment of 5 existing school buildings in which we identified just over 150 deficiencies totaling $9M to repair.  Following the successful bond referendum, we accomplished an aggressive 2-summer design and construction program that included repairs and alterations to the 3 schools including demolition of the elementary school, conversion of the middle school to an elementary including moving the District’s only kitchen and conversion of the high school to a junior/senior high.  These projects included almost every complication imaginable, from regulatory approvals, education material moving and asbestos abatement to new furnishings, technology and athletic fields, all done under the gun to complete during summer breaks in a remote location.
